Florida tornado watch impacts large area

Tornado watch in South Florida

A tornado watch has been issued for a large swath of Florida from Jacksonville through Naples, including the Miami metropolitan area. The watch is in effect until 5 p.m. EDT.

The National Weather Service says sustained tropical storm conditions are likely in the watch area. Residents are urged to monitor real-time tornado warnings and other severe weather alerts.

Tornado HQ live-updating page

Tornado HQ now has an experimental live-updating page where you can track as many locations as you like. The page includes a map of the tornado watch area, as well as a list of active tornado warnings.

To use the live-updating page, visit the Tornado HQ website and click on the "Live Updates" tab. Then, enter the locations you want to track in the search bar.
